Category : General League News
The Bedford & District Table Tennis League's second Charity Handicap Tournament will be held on Monday 3rd April at the Sports Hall, Lincroft School, Station Road, Oakley, MK43 7RE commencing promptly at 7.45pm. This tournament is held in remembrance of Brian Copperwheat a former popular league and county player whose family have donated the trophy in his memory. The entry fee on the night is a minimum contribution of £3 and all income received goes in aid of local charities. The tournament competition format will be decided based on the number of entries. A Plate competition will also take place so you are guaranteed at least two matches. There will be a raffle plus an auction for some PG Mutual National Championship shirts that have been donated by PG Mutual who sponsored this year's National Table Tennis Championships won by Paul Drinkhall and Tin-Tin Ho respectively. Sky Sports Mix will be showing the highlights of the championships on Tuesday 4th April at 6.00pm in an hour long programme. The raffle generates about 20% of the income for the evening so all donated raffle prizes are gratefully received. Entry may be made by clicking on
