Bedfordshire Veteran 1st team commenced this season's challenge in Division 2A of the County Championships at St Neots TTC on 27/28th October. Last season they avoided relegation by 1 point so a good start was needed and the team of Sandra Harper, Steve Dobbins, Keith McConnell and John Alsop achieved this by securing a 6-4 win against Cheshire 2nd and 5-5 draws with Yorkshire 3rd and Yorkshire 4th teams. Sandra Harper was key to their success winning all of her singles and helping to win 5 out of the available 6 mixed doubles matches. Click on the article title for more details ...
